He picked “Stand by Me,” which he used to sing in his room but never in public. He was boring as hell, but naturally the judges just loved and adored it. Randy said that at least there is one guy trying to win it every time he gets onstage (and what’s Cookie then, huh?). Paula says he’s way beyond years (hey, I thought that was a bad thing according to Simon?). Simon said he could have whistled the song and it would have sounded better that the last song. Honestly, I think Archie could have stood there for his 90 seconds not singing just staring out at the audience and Randy Jackson would still have been orgasming all over the boy.
